Manchester international Airport is the third busiest airport in the UK handling on average 22 million passengers, out of three terminals to over 200 destinations each year. The airport officially opened on the 25^th June 1938 in Ridgeway parish north of Wimslow. With around 19,000 people employed on site, the growth is shared by the city and the whole region.
