Frantic Friday, normally the last Friday before Christmas which this year falls on 22 December is a very busy day to travel. The situation is made considerably worse by the number of rail disruptions which are planned for the Christmas period.

Reduced services will run on many of the network's main lines with bus replacement services and revised timetables for some South Eastern, Thameslink, Great Northern, Arriva North, Arriva Wales, Great Western, Scot Rail, East Midlands and Virgin trains among others from Friday to after New Year.

The advice from I Love airport parking is to “Check the website of your individual rail operator to find out if your journey is affected. With so few trains it is much better to plan your journey around your car and book an airport parking service. We still have spaces available at most of the airports so you can take and keep control of your trip to airport and reduce the stress of relying on rail.”
